What a day. And I’m so serious.

The first 3 to 4 hours of my day was with a classroom of students on lockdown. It was not a drill.

I’m a second year middle school art teacher. My prior years are elementary and preparatory university in Saudi Arabia. I have never been on so many lockdowns since coming to this school.

All I can say is I’m glad I wasn’t with last year’s classes today. I’ll leave it there. Okay?!

I will not cut a rug with you this day. It did make me wonder how many schools went through this today. I don’t know if I’ll elaborate on this at a later date. I’m just going to get under my afghan and watch a debate on YouTube.
