Count yourself fortunate if you’re able to create anything of value. Seriously. At some point, the world will cease to move as fast and being old and whatnot, you’re gonna need something to keep your mind and hands busy, else you’ll find yourself poking at folk on social media or dialing to insert yourself in somebody’s business.

I’ve found myself enough times among folk who are creative in mess starting and been unlucky enough to be caught up in the thick of it with one sentence!

If you’re amongst these type folk, it’s sorta like being in the company of drinkers or drug users. You have to engage too or there’s no point in keeping their company. It’s a real drain if you’re sitting around listening. And equally so if you made any contributions, then wished you hadn’t.

These last months, I have turned the corner and crossed the street on that. Why Portraitist, you say, I thought you had this conversation with us already. Well, consider this the follow-up AA meeting and I am confirming my continued sobriety. I feel a great sense of relief and energy. My skin is even glowing.

Outside of that, I have about 6 pages left in the Musical Sketchbook and I find myself too committed to not continue. On an additional note, I’m not doing bad to be creating out of a suitcase. You can figure some things out real quick under unusual circumstances. We’d do best to keep that in mind.

Lastly, I shall be adding gold leaf to finish this piece. I’m pretty happy with it. Like 70s music, it was also a great decade for fashion. This piece draws upon that period.
